Advanced pet first aid level 3 (VTQ) takes a much more in depth look at the different injuries and illnesses that can affect dogs and cats. The course has been designed to equip pet owners and pet professional with much more knowledge in order to be able to detect early when something is wrong and give the appropriate first aid care.
The course also covers the anatomy and physiology of domestic pets and some of the various first aid treatments that are available. Although the treatment is basically the same between dogs and cats, the advanced course has a dedicated section for cats.
This course is a ProTrainings Vocational Training Qualification (VTQ) and is ideal for pet professionals or individuals.
This course can be taken in two ways:
As an online course – With this, you work through the course over 6 hours and learn from the videos but there is no practical module. We recommend that you complete a practical module with us. With the online-only course, you will just receive a certificate that says Advance Pet First Aid and it will not include the level 3 VTQ qualification. You can add a practical module at any time. For more information, get in touch via the contact form.
As a blended course – Blended training is where you complete the online module (6 hours) and a practical module (approx 6 hours) at one of our in person courses, where you also cover practical subjects to gain the full qualification certificate.
This qualification is also available with an Endorsed Certificate from TQUK, for an extra charge if required.
The content of this and all ProTrainingshaveurses has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines and come with a Certified CPD Statement as well as a ProTrainings Certificate and, in the case of online courses, an Evidence Based Learning statement.
